Had our Maytag dryer go down on a Friday night (with lots of wet laundry to deal with) and did not want to go several days for parts & repair (we have an extended warranty, but typically takes several days for service through that service). I had a difficult time finding a reliable firm that did appliance service on weekends, until I called ElectraFix Saturday morning, and they had a technician in by early Saturday afternoon, which was amazing. The technician (Edo) was excellent. He quickly diagnosed a broken heating element, and had the right part in his truck! He also showed me it was a genuine OEM part in a sealed package. Finally, he cleaned the entire machine and venting. Very, very impressive experience...especially when it comes to getting emergency service! ~ Bruce W

I want to highlight three key aspects of my experience with Electra Fix Repair. First, efficiency: I contacted them regarding a free defrost thermostat and drain pump assembly, and they were quick to respond, diagnose, and address the issue. Ilya, the technician, also reached out to provide advice regarding the dishwasher drainage, which was incredibly helpful. Second, transparency: They provided a detailed quote for the repair and an invoice that clearly outlined the costs. Third, communication: They maintained excellent communication with both me and my tenant, even coordinating directly with my tenant when I couldn’t be present due to my busy schedule. ElectraFix was quick to reply to my time-sensitive repair needs, and they were honest about the work. It took only a single day from my inquiry email to have someone come to have a look. Guy, the service tech who came was communicative about the machine, and explained everything that was going on with the washer. He was very friendly and made sure that I understood everything before he proceeded! As it turned out, to repair the washer would have cost at least as much to replace it entirely, and I was recommended to speak with the customer service department who followed up with me about next steps. The visit was only a flat-rate service fee, as there was no repair work done, and that cost was eventually put towards my new appliance! Altogether a very efficient service!! ~ C W

Well I was at the end of my rope, the dishwasher arm kept sliding to the off position. Hence no working dishwasher at all. Well the service technician Yaron was amazing. His relaxed demeanor had a way of calming me down as I was at my wits end. He was so courteous and polite something I have not seen in many years. He explained step by step what the dishwasher problem was and how he was about to solve it and repair my unit. Next thing I knew my dishwasher was working like a new one. Yaron with a big smile said that’s it and you will have no more problems with having clean dishes. Your unit is good as new. Thank you for such professional and knowledgeable technicians. I wish there were more service technicians like Yaron it would be so much reassuring when you need to call in a professional. ~ John C

I was ready to host a funeral for my dishwasher it refused to wash anything, made weird noises, and basically gave up on life. Electra Fix the appliance whisperers. The technician showed up right on time, tools in hand and ready for battle. Within minutes, he diagnosed the problem like a dishwasher doctor on a mission. No nonsense, no “we’ll have to order 12 parts from Mars” just straight-up skill. He had the part, fixed the issue, and even gave me tips to keep it running like a champ. Now my dishwasher is back from the dead and scrubbing dishes like it’s trying to make up for lost time. 10/10 would call again (but hopefully I won’t have to). I completed the online form describing my issue with our dryer. No sooner than 3 minutes after completing the form, I had a phone call and the tech was booked in the following day. Now, there was a "4 hour" window and felt like forever, but I did receive a call from the tech 20 minutes before showing up. "Jay" was so nice and experienced, my dryer is a stackable one and is fairly new and was in a tight closet. Jay had most of my dryer taken apart, (due to how its built) but he was so meticulous with every screw and part, that when he put it back together, it was seamless. He was so professional and all the costs, were up front before work began. payment was super easy, as he had a machine with him. Definitely call them again. ~ Jesse P

I needed to have my Vent-a-hood fan motor and blower replaced, and ElectraFix was in touch with me promptly from the time I first contacted them to when I received the new parts I ordered from Ontario. I called Electrafix back the day the parts arrived, and their installer Zack came the same day and installed the new parts, leaving my fan working perfectly. He was friendly, polite and knowledgeable. He got the job done efficiently and put on his shoe covers when inside without me even having to ask him to do it. The job was a bit tricky, with hard to reach access, but Zack never wavered and kept at it with the right tools and know-how. I highly recommend him and ElectraFix Appliance Repair. ~ Market L

We had John come to our place to fix our fridge which was no longer keeping our food cool. He called to let me know his estimated arrival, and arrived on time. He explained the different possibilities, and different resolutions, as well as the prices involved. He was able to fix the ice blockage in the freezer, and it seems to be back to normal. I appreciated that he was very professional, and that he took the time to explain what was the issue - as well as explaining if it happens again, what the next option would be. He was very thorough, and conscientious of working in our home and keeping our floors and surrounding area protected while he worked. We would definitely recommend this company! ~ Erika S

We had a wonderful experience with our washing machine repair. Not only was Dvir, our technician professional, kind and knowledgeable, he was also able to repair the issue on the spot. I appreciated very much he arrived wearing a mask and was conscious of COVID protocols. The company had also screened me and my husband’s health the day before to protect their technician. This did not happen at any of the other companies I had called, and is the main reason we chose Electrafix. The receptionist who took my call was also kind, clear and helpful when scheduling. This business was used by the previous owner of our townhome and when the relatively new (4 years!) appliances had issues over the past year, we called ElectraFix. Not only are they super responsive (we've been able to have either same day or next day appointments and we are on Vancouver's westside), their staff are very knowledgeable, polite, professional and up front about costs. When they explained the cost to fix the fridge/freezer, we opted to buy a new one that would be under warranty. They have a showroom as part of the business and we were able to get another high-end fridge/freezer with a great discount. Can't say enough good thing about doing business with this company. Highly recommend. If they can't fix it, they will tell you up front. Plus labour costs are partially deducted from the cost of parts if repair is an option. ~ Andrea W

We had contacted numerous fridge repair businesses with little response until we arrived at Electra Fix Appliance. Everything from the telephone call, to the times quoted a service technician would be available was spot on. If this company either through our technician through to dispatch, the communication was immediate and timely. Our service technician was professional, knowledgeable, thorough and supportive. Our fridge was repaired in a timely manner (based on the ordering of parts). We are so grateful and impressed with this company and their process in offering services as well as the service technician that we had. I called them and set up an appointment to look at my dishwasher and they booked me in for the next day. They were very upfront about all their pricing. Brad came to my house and was extremely friendly and professional. He wore a mask and respected the personal distancing that is recommended right now. He provided me with a quotation to replace a part on my dishwasher. The price was quite high but they were upfront and honest about all the costs so you can't ask for much more from a company. They said what the price was and they didn't try to sneak in any extras. Brad returned to install the part and unfortunately it didn't resolve the issue and it ended up not being worth it for me to try to repair the thing. I still give this company 5 stars though for their professionalism, upfront pricing, and very friendly staff. ~ Christopher A

Shout out to Ilya from Electrafix. I had a cracked glass for my Bosch glass cooktop and he walked me through every step of what he was doing. He worked efficiently and diligently and was done in no more than an hour and a half from start to finish- this even included the installation of a new control board. Compared to some of the other companies I've used in the past, go with these guys, especially Ilya. They are insured so even if something were to break, they are fully covered. They are in the business of selling a service well; safe to say, they do it very well. No upcharge, no feet dragging, no overexaggerating of their abilities. They are communicative, reasonably priced, and fast! ~ Jay

5 star plus work today. Thank you to Edo Tal from Electrofix Appliance Repairs. He worked hard with creative ingenuity to remove my decades old Jenn Air stovetop. Then, the installation of the new Jenn Air stovetop required careful precise measuring and adjusting over and over again. He put all of the wires in a special installation box for safety and made sure everything was tidy and cleaned up afterwards. And…also and crucially he made sure it was working. Thank you Edo! I only hope you and this company are available again when I need a job well done! We had an excellent experience with this company. Our Samsung washing machine wasn’t washing properly and was leaking quite a bit. The office was quick to set up an appointment, and Yaron came out right away to take a look. When the machine was still leaking afterwards, he promptly returned for a free follow-up visit. He quickly found the problem — a mouse had chewed tiny holes in a hose — and replaced it on the spot. Yaron was professional, friendly, and very skilled at his work. Wow Edo is a very skilled, knowledgeable, creative technician who repaired several of our Bosch appliances with ease and helped me with a very complex oven situation that I created. I had 2 large drip marks down the front of oven door glass. It took removing the door and removing screws and holding part of the door up and open so I could squeeze my hand in to clean the glass inside the closed door unit. He was so patient and helpful worrying about my safety while I was cleaning the glass with his excellent assistance. We are so grateful that he was the one sent today. So pleasant as well. Only rave reviews for ElectraFix. On very short notice they were able to send a technician to assess the problem on a Saturday, and then the following Monday (2 days later) they scheduled their "emergency" technician to come - with the replacement parts - to fix the dryer. I was desperate as I would be travelling from Tuesday onwards. Both Oleg (Sat) and Zack (Monday) were awesome. Professional, courteous, punctual, and got the job done. The staff at the office - who I called to schedule everything - are also great. Phones are answered quickly, call backs are returned as promised. I highly recommend ElectraFix for anyone who needs help with their applicances. ~ Karen W

The Quote/Service call electronic system and the ElectraFix office staff's service and communication using it and email are top notch. The technician - Eddie - did both the initial service call to identify the issue and then the return call to do the fix. He and the entire experience was one of the best I've had in years regarding any sort of service call. Eddie is professional, friendly and obviously knows what he's doing. He identified the issue quickly the first visit and did the work and test quicker than he'd estimated on the 2nd call. Our oven broke down on Friday evening. It was under extended warranty, so we called the company to find out their hours are Monday to Friday. I still had my Christmas baking to do and we are hosting Christmas with 12 people, so we found Electrafix on Saturday. They were able to send Yaron to our house on Sunday morning. He immediately diagnosed the problem, the element had a crack, causing it to actually explode, and found that the part was in stock. He came back Tuesday morning to replace the element and tested it to make sure everything worked as it should. Everything went seamlessly and now I can get my baking done and Christmas dinner will go on! Thanks to Electrafix and Yaron for turning a possible nightmare into a wonderful Christmas present! After we contacted the warranty company, it would have taken around a week to get the oven fixed! We highly recommend Electrafix and their tech Yaron! ~ Diane M

Yaron, was amazing, he worked extremely well in sourcing the problem with the dish washer. He was able to get me an accurate quote almost immediately. There were not hidden suprises with the quote. He, explained everything he was doing in detail, and was very respectful.
